This week was the start of another independent project, the Theatre Designer Project. This serves as our work for Mr. Fearnehough during his PATernity leave and the following vacation. We had to compare Edward Gorden Craig to our choice of two others, I choose Adolphe Appia. We were able to choose the Media that we presented in, and such I decided to do it electronically on a blog: http://year12designerproject.wordpress.com/ I decided to start this process by investigating the origin of their theories to allow me to farther understand them. (It really helps that I have seen a few Wagner Operas) It will be a bit though before I start to put information down on the blog, but I’ll probably start next week (at least the basics).
The other main activity of the week was missing History…. In order to watch the Yr 13’s TPPP. This was THE END of their time in IB theatre. Everything they had done, all their effort was for this moment. Yeah, no pressure. It was rather awe inspiring to watch them finish the course, a massive milestone in their lives. I would almost say that one of the hardest parts of this presentation was keeping calm and well prepared, because once you start the presentation, there is no going back. Only Forward. It did seem to be the type of project that as long as effort is put into the presentation than it would be hard to fail, BUT getting a high grade requires large amounts of preparation and practice. I actually really want to do my TPPP now, I really enjoyed our last mock and the presentations looked fun. (Maybe I’m just crazy… or Inspired!) Well, I still have a year before mine so… I have so much more to enjoy first. Not goanna leave now(maybe).
